    Frequently Asked Questions
    1. I am a print subscriber of "The Pink Sheet", but I am having trouble registering online.
      • Many people get "The Pink Sheet" by being on a routing list. This means that someone in your company has a subscription and shares it with other people in the company. If this is the situation in your case, you will not be able to register online. You will have to purchase another subscription to be able to read "The Pink Sheet" online. Please contact customer service for information on discounted multiple user packages.
      • You may be trying to register online as an individual user, but you are a member of a corporate account (or vice versa). If you have questions about your account, please contact customer service.

    2. Why do I need to register to use this site?
When you register by establishing a username (your email address) and a password you are installing a license. By doing so, you will have one-click access to all content each time you visit the site. You will then only need to log in with your username and password if you access the site from a different computer. This design allows you to read "The Pink Sheet" anywhere, and not just from your corporate intranet.

    3. Why am I asked to log in each time I access the site, even if I am logging on from the same computer?
There could be a couple of reasons why you are not recognized after registering once. One possibility is the security level on your computer may be set "high." If that is the case, your computer may be programmed to delete or disable all "cookies." Or your company intranet may have security parameters set at the firewall or proxy server level that prevents your cookie information from being stored at the local desktop. Please consult your internal computer support or contact our technical assistance center.

    4. Once I have registered, can I log on to the web site from another computer?
Yes. If you log on from a different computer, you will be asked to reenter your email and password to move license to this new computer. Once you log in, all of your personal information and preferences will still be accessible.

    5. I subscribe to more than one FDC publication. Do I have to register for each one separately?
No, not entirely. You will NOT be required to REGISTER at each publication (i.e., establish a username and password, provide account information, etc.). You will, however, be asked to LOG IN with your original username and password to install a license for that publication. Once you log in at each publication for which you have a subscription, you will have one-click access to all of your subscriptions from any site.

    6. How will the personal information I provide be used by FDC Reports?
As stated in our privacy policy, none of your personal information will be dispersed or sold to third parties. At this time, FDC Reports uses personal information only to facilitate the most efficient use of our site(s), and to provide you with customer service.

    7. What will happen if I share my username and password with a colleague?
If you share your username and password with a colleague, he or she will disable your access to "The Pink Sheet". Each license installed (by registering) is limited to one user. Sharing your username and password is illegal. If you or your collegues are interested in getting additional seats to your account, or possibly a site license, please contact customer service.

    8. How do I search past stories?

    12. After clicking on a story, there is nothing in there but a red X or just a blank gray screen.
Java Virtual Machine is not installed or not properly installed on your system. Please consult your internal computer support to install the latest Java Virtual Machine for the versions of MS Windows that you are using. For MS Windows 2000, install the latest service pack should solve the problem. Microsoft VM Version 5.0.3805 will work under MS Windows 95; 98; 98SE; Millennium; NT4.0 and XP.

We've thoroughly tested our website(s) in Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5 and above with latest service pack and Netscape version 4.7x in Microsoft Windows 98SE, 2000, NT4 and XP. Different browsers and/or operating systems may work, but we currently do not provide technical support for these combinations.

    15. Why did I not receive the weekly e-mail alert?
Click on "My Account" in the upper right of any screen. You can indicate which publications to receive via e-mail. If you click on the "Change your e-mail address, password or other information," you can check your e-mail address to see if it is correct. Always use your business address, since it is also your User-ID.

    16. In what formats can I receive e-mail?
We recommend that you select HTML, which is a graphical version that displays similarly to the home page of our publications. The text version is for subscribers whose e-mail systems do not have the ability to view graphical e-mail. AOL users should choose text format. If you are uncertain, try receiving HTML first.

    17. How do I know what publications I am entitled to view online?
Once you have registered you will receive a confirmation e-mail with your User ID, Password, and the publications for which you are subscribed and the expiration date. You can check at anytime after you are registered by viewing the "My Account" page.

    18. I forgot my password, how can I get into the system?
