Government officials meet with stake holders in Medicare and other interested parties to discuss the future landscape of Medicare. Two program sessions with Medicare Part D are  "Medication Therapy Management in Part D: Reducing Adverse Events and Improving Therapeutic Compliance" and "Evolution of Part D: Looking Forward into the Next Cycle." Speakers include CMS Director Abby Block and Linda Magno, CATO Insitute's Michael Cannon, and MedPAC Commission Member William Scanlon.

During the 2008 election year challenges mount for generic drug makers. Stake holders and elected congress men discuss and present the differences between the two parties. Democrats favor the removal of barriers that block generic drug development and also favor a pathway for FDA approval of biogenerics. Politicians attending the meeting include Henry Waxman, Debbie A. Stabenow, and Frank Pallone.
